We arrived at Carefree Village RV Park today. It was a nice day and the park has nice big sites and very nice staff. We unfortunately got a brand new site and it was so soft, we had to use 4x4 to get in. We also happen to have a light pole across the street and an electric box right next to us, so it was a little tricky getting in to our site. Once in, it was nice, and we are looking forward to fun times with friends this week.

We met up with Jeff and Steff and drove to the Mexican border just inside California, to visit Algadones MX and do a little shopping. They have all sorts of pharmacies, dental offices and optical stores as well as shopping galore for apparel, bags and knick knacks!! We started with the pharmacy to stock up on some supplies and then shopped around and went to lunch. We had a great time and though it took us 3 hours in line to cross back over the border, we made the best of it and kept all the folks in line near us, entertained!! We learned that the first of the month is never a good day to cross the border! It was fun though and glad we went!!

We started our day with an appt with a floor installer to find out about removing the carpet in our trailer. We then went and picked out some lino for the floor and laminate for the steps (thank you Steff for your expertise!!) and look forward to having it installed tomorrow morning.

Today was a wind advisory and bad air alert day from all the dust blowing, so everyone is pretty much hunkered down. Good afternoon to get laundry done and clean house!!

Today was an RV day. We had our stairs and upstairs carpeting replaced with lino and laminate. It was time and it turned out great! The carpet was very tired to say the least! We also got the rv washed and waxed and cleaned up from Quartzsite too. Our whole group got washes so they gave us a great deal and its nice to be clean again!

Today we met with Jeff and Steff for lunch at Prison Hill Brewery (Delicious!!), and the walked around historic downtown. The town is loaded with history! We saw the haunted Hotel del Sol, Armed Forces Park and checked out the Yuma territorial Prison as well as looked at the cool, historic buildings downtown. We had a great time checking them all out!! Went back to RV Park and had a nice visit with friends and said our goodbyes til next year.
